Gary van Dyk
Head of Corporate Finance, CA(SA)


Gary completed articles at KPMG at the end of 2002. He then spent four years in the Transaction Advisory Division where he was involved in a significant number of transactions in South Africa and abroad, spanning across various industries for Private Equity and Corporate clients. Prior to leaving KPMG Gary led a number of engagements in a Senior Manager Capacity. Gary joined Purple Capital during November 2006 where he has since been involved in Purple Capital's capital raisings, acquisitions and disposals as well as a number of external Corporate Finance Advisory mandates. Gary is currently involved in growing Purple Capital's Corporate Finance Advisory Division.

Tracey Roscher
Senior Associate, CA(SA), HDip Tax


Tracey recently joined Purple Capital and has 15 years post articles experience. Previously she served the Department of Public Enterprises under the leadership of Minister Gigaba, in a Senior Management capacity with financial responsibilities for Denel (Pty) Ltd and SAFCOL Ltd, and was instrumental in Denel producing profits for the first time in ten years. Tracey spent 7 years at the Industrial Development Corporation of SA Ltd (IDC), largely at the forefront of the second wave of BEE transactions. Tracey's private sector experience spans 6 years and includes being part of a team writing deals to the value of R3 billion in Structured Finance for ABSA Corporate Bank and various other financial institutions, including a large international bank. Craig joined Purple Capital in July 2011 and has over 3 years of corporate finance experience having worked on a variety of transactions spanning various sectors. Prior to joining Purple Capital, Craig worked for Standard Bank CIB Africa from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, Craig worked for Merchantec Capital where he was responsible for various corporate valuations, mergers and acquisitions as well as deal origination, deal structuring and capital raisings.

David Manaway
Head of Business Development, BA (Business Administration-Marketing)


David joined the Corporate Finance team, as Head of Business Development after joining the Purple Capital Group as part of the management team of Powerbet Gaming (Pty) Ltd, of which David was one of the founding Directors. Previously David worked for Primedia Group, as an executive dealing with marketing strategy and development. David has over 7 years experience in dealing with BEE transactions.
